A CROQUET club has been able to reopen after recent changes to government guidelines.

The Crake Valley club at Greenodd reopened on Friday.

This came after the Croquet Association (CA) reviewed the Government's guidance on allowing some sport to resume and decided that reopening clubs would be of benefit to its 8,000 members across England.

Chairman Jim Allock said: “The CA has acted swiftly to provide practical guidance to its 212 member clubs in England and are continually reviewing recommendations, in conversation with other sports governing bodies.”

“The rules still mean we cannot allow access to groups or individuals unless they are members.

"We are looking to recruit more members with reduced membership fees applying for 2020.”
