Barrow’s Liam Livingstone was part of one of the most exciting finishes in this year’s Pakistan Super League, as Peshawar Zalmi were defeated by five wickets off the penultimate ball by Lahore Qalandars.
Batting from three, Livingstone only made four with the bat as Peshawar posted 187-7 from their 20 overs, which included a 116-run stand for the fourth wicket between Shoaib Malik (62) and Haider Ali (69).
Shaheen Afridi took 3-28 for Lahore, who were cruising at 146-1 thanks to Fakhar Zaman (63) and Chris Lynn (59) before Carlos Brathwaite (3-28) reined them in the closing stages.
However, David Wiese struck the winning runs with a six over long on in the final over.
