HAWCOAT Park return to action in Cumbria Division One this afternoon with a tough home game against Cockermouth, writes Jason Meadows.

A mass of unavailability means Hawcoat’s side will be a ‘pick and mix’ from their first team and ‘A’ team squads.

Captain Andy Kent is joined in the front row by Adam Grainger and hopefully Scott Dobby with John Donnan as back-up. Donnan could find himself in the second row alongside young Hugh Williams or Andy Graham with a returning Lee Van Heron, Joe Rea and Harry Higgins in with a shout in a sprightly back row.

Benji Platt will be playing full back with Lewis Sayle in the centres alongside Chris Burns who himself could be at fly-half if George Smith cannot make it. Scott Garnett takes on scrum-half duties with Alex Brown, Rodney Odandi, Glenn Kaighan, Jack Lord and Keenan Cotton looking to fill the backline.

Millom are back at their Wilson Park home as they welcome Windermere and they will be keen to make a quick start which will all come from Richard Preston and Robbie Pattinson.

Trevor Dixon will lead the forwards from the back row with help from Mike Kirkham and Luke Coulson whose brother Keiran will be alongside him in the engine room.

With Keiran, it looks like Jamie Mcguire will be coming to the party, looking to give Ian Cummings, Dean Doyle and Keiron Rogan a shove on. Ryan Carter and Connor Penrith are the centre duo, looking to Sy Robertson and Joe Sheard to finish off along with John Faulkener at full back.

After a great win at home against Furness, Windermere will be travelling with a spring in their step. Jamie Hardman, Luke Todd and Tyrone Alderson are the men up front, with Josh Dawson and John Longworth behind them pushing on from the second row.

Greg Meschino returns to his preferred back row slot, joining skipper Jonny Benson and Paul Mahler in search of much-needed ball.

Joe Williams will be key in getting Bertie Hodgson and his backline away while Damien Armstrong and Dan Fox will look to punch holes in the defence. Moses Dawson moves back to his regular wing berth along with Bobby Davis on the other. Full back and the defence will be in the hands of Liam Garnett as Windermere put out a strong side.
