THE adverse weather caused severe disruption to the amateur football schedule during February, including the Paul Wilson Memorial Trophy, with one first round tie still to take place.

That will be at Lesh Lane tomorrow as Barrow Wanderers look to upset the form book against Furness Premier League champions Croftlands Park in a match that was originally supposed to take place on November 23 last year.

Whoever finally gets through that tie will face Askam United reserves, who sit out the weekend, with seven matches in the second round due to be played.

Kirkby United, still in with a chance of winning the FPL title, will look to avoid an upset against Division One leaders Soccer Bar while Bridge United will be eyeing up a shock when they welcome Swarthmoor.

Premier Division leaders Vickerstown reserves play host to Bootle at Park Vale and will be favourites, as will Hawcoat Park reserves, as they head across town to struggling Britannia.

Division Two champions Coniston will fancy their chances at home to Walney Island reserves, while the remaining ties see Ulverston Rangers reserves travel to face Haverigg United and Barrow Celtic host Millom reserves.

In the the North West Counties League, Holker Old Boys will be hoping their pitch at Rakesmoor Lane will have recovered from last week's deluge with Pilkington, four points ahead of them, due to visit.
