Kirkby United will hope to finally get the chance to make up ground at the top of the Furness Premier League after the recent storms when they travel down to Millom reserves tomorrow.

With the top two teams not in action, Kirkby will look to narrow the gap between them and leaders Vickerstown reserves to four points in what would be their first match in three weeks.

Fourth-placed Croflands Park haven’t given up the chase, either, and they’ll be eyeing up victory when they welcome struggling Britannia to Cavendish Park.

Elsewhere in the division, Barrow Wanderers will look to climb out of the bottom two when they face Barrow Celtic, while there are a couple of mid-table skirmishes, as Bootle welcome Swarthmoor and Holker Old Boys reserves head for Haverigg.

In the North West Counties League, Holker Old Boys will look to bounce back from their defeat against Golcar United on a 3G pitch, but they face a tough task against third-placed AFC Liverpool to Rakesmoor Lane.

In the West Lancashire League, Vickerstown will be underdogs against high-flying Euxton Villa in the Premier Division, while Askam United have the chance to leapfrog Horwich St Marys Victoria in Division One.

Hawcoat Park are playing host to Haslingden St Mary’s while in Division Two, Walney Island will try to keep pace with leaders Rossendale by picking up three points against Kendal United.
