Barrow Friday League darts champions British Legion A took a 4-3 win over runners-up Navy Club.

The two top men went head to head in the first game, as captains Ian Large and Shaun McPoland, whose steady game concluded with an 88 knock up to claim the league title for the home side.

Mike Yorke took the second point with a ton score against Joe O'Leary before Brian Linklater won for the Navy Club in a long drawn out battle after Billy Burns had taken command.

Dave Rafferty made it 15 wins out of 15 to win this year’s darts aggregate prize, by defeating Dave Macmillan, while Andy Charnley completed a double over Dave Simpson to make it 3-2 to Navy.

However, Mala McCoy continued his winning streak to beat Dave Wilkie and level the game at 3-3 before Tony Macmillan claimed the victory for the champions by beating Navy’s Dave Simpson.

Barrow Football Supporters Club just had the edge 4-3 against the British Legion. Top man Stuart Culbert won well against Allan Edmondson and again against Kevin Quinn, while he was backed up with a win for Nathan Johnson and Barry Butterworth getting the better of Dave Roberts.

Vickerstown Cricket Club took third spot with the help of a 6-1 result over Roose Cons, with wins for Josh Francis, Lee Jefferson, Bryan Jones (with a 91 knock-up), David Holmes, captain Bob Crosthwaite and Peter Scott.
