Jordan Park made it back-to-back bottom play-off titles in the Barrow Individual Snooker League after defeating John Reilly in the final at the Preston Street Club.

This was the tournament for 11 players in the league who hadn't made the 'Top 8' play-offs and there was plenty of action to see who was crowned the best of the rest.

The night started with three preliminary matches that would decide their last few places in the quarter finals, starting with Brad Elliot defeating Josh Francis 2-1 in a really tense match that included a 30 break from Elliot.

Park then came through another close affair 2-1 against Matty Lamb, who managed to level after losing the first frame, but a couple of missed opportunities cost him.

Moz Edmonds then made the last eight with a 2-1 win over Alan Eaton before Dale McLean kicked off the quarter final action with a scrappy 2-0 win against Jack Arnold.

Reilly then reached the semi-finals with a 2-1 win against Mike Smith in what was a really good match up with both players playing some excellent pots and safety shots.

Park then came through a decider to defeat Elliot 2-1 before the final four line-up was completed by Anthony Atkinson coming through 2-1 against Edmonds in a match where both players missed several opportunities.

Into the semi-finals, and Park again needed a final frame deciders to prevail 2-1 against McLean, with no significant breaks being made, before Reilly came from behind to defeat Atkinson.

Due to those matches running late, the final was played the following night and it was Park who moved into a 2-0 lead with some steady snooker and some good safety, but Reilly pulled a frame back with some better potting.

However, Park found another gear and a break of 32 helped to wrap up a 3-1 victory.

The 'Top 8' play-off quarter finals start tonight at the Preston Street Club with champion Matty Hill coming up against Graeme Edwards.

John Purcell then faces John Tyerman tomorrow night at 6pm before last year's runner-up Danny Macdonald plays Tommy Barbour at the slightly earlier time of 6pm on Thursday.

The final semi-final spot will then be decided next Monday afternoon when Tony Mason and Martin McDonald face off.
