Windermere are back on the road today as they play high-flying Wigton away in Cumbria Division One.

It’s not been easy for the Ambers as of late, as last week it was league leaders St Benedicts who came out on top, so with this tough run of games they will be keen to try to get something from it.

Jamie Hardman and Tyrone Alderson are joined by a surprise member of the ABC club in back rower Greg Meschino, who must have had a flash of inspiration moving up front.

Josh Dawson and John Longworth are in the second row with skipper Jonny Benson welcoming back Adam Hague and Dan Fox in the back row, following their recovery from injuries.

Joe Williams comes in at scrum-half to partner Bertie Hodgson, which is the biggest change, looking to get Damien Armstrong and Moses Dawson in the centres up and away.

Wing men Bobby Davis and Liam Garnett are key in scoring the points out wide along with full back Ben Gibson. A strong bench travels for Windermere this week for this tough encounter for the lads from Dawes Meadow.

After last Friday’s excursion to Egremont, Millom will be hopeful of better availability as they are keen to take the points against a Creighton side who haven’t won a game all season.

Skipper Trevor Dixon will be looking to his squad to take control from the off, with Kieran and Luke Coulson wanting to take the ball up and Daniel Hartley and Joe Ross will be in the mix with them. Matty Jordan and Mike Kirkham will see the back row to the breakdowns early, along with the strong running Kieran Rogan.

Robbie Pattinson will get the ball away to Chris Park, looking to the pace of Connor Perth and Richard Preston to get the backline on the front foot.

Preston’s ball skills will need to be on top form, along with Joe Sheard and Bud Knowles.
