Furness’ run of home games comes to an end this afternoon as the Strawberry Grounds side travel north to face Carlisle outfit Creighton, who are bottom of the table in Cumbria Division One.

The Blues recorded a great five-point win at home against Millom last week, but will no doubt name a much-changed side on the road.

With the team sheet not available, they will be an unknown quantity against a side who are without a win all season.

Captain Corne Els leads from the front as always and will rally the squad, looking to Joe and Will Mallinson to help pull a few favours.

James Howden will travel no doubt, alongside Mark Hall and Karl Benn, who will be first on the team sheet along with Dave Finlayson, who has been a real find this year for the Blues.

Jordan Ashton and his ability to play most positions will come in very handy alongside big forwards Ben Hughes and Keiron Mason. There will be more changes in the run up to this one but they will go as strong as possible in attempting to come home with the points.

Windermere are back on their home turf at Dawes Meadow, but they face the toughest of tasks against leaders St Benedicts as they try to haul themselves up the table.

The team that travelled last week to Hawcoat Park last week gave a top account of themselves and fought hard, so skipper Jonny Benson will be hopeful of more of the same, which will be needed in this encounter.

The starting XV is yet to be named, but they are likely to be unchanged apart for a few injuries picked up last time out.

Jamie Hardman, Shaun Stafford and Tyrone Alderson will meet their opposition first with Josh Dawson and John Longworth more than happy to help out from the second row.

The feisty Greg Meschino will be all over the park as usual and will look to Benson to back him up from the back row.

Bertie Hodgson was superb last week, so with good ball from Liam McKinnon Mere will be in the front foot in the backline where Brad Askam and Moses Dawson will be praying for good ball.

Liam Garnett, Tom Atkinson and Giles Jones could well make up the back three, but with the team still to be confirmed, that could yet change.
