Hawcoat Park will look to get back to winning ways when they welcome South Lakes rivals Windermere in Cumbria Division One tomorrow, writes Jason Meadows.

Hawcoat were narrowly defeated by a spirited Carlisle Crusaders side in their last match two weeks ago with a number of second team players filling the gaps, so after a little break they'll be hopeful of being back to some normality.

Captain Chris Burns will either be starting in the centres or back row, depending on the final selection, and he'll Alfie White and Lee Van Haren for company if he plays in the latter. Scrum-half Jack Shannon will take on all comers with the returning George Smith back as his half-back partner at fly-half.

Depending on where Burns starts could see Will Coles in the centres alongside the returning Lewis Sayle with the wide men likely to be Alex Brown and Rodney Odandi, while full back Benji Platt will aim to control attack and defence.

Up front is the trio of Andy Kent, Adam Grainger and either Lewis Phillips or Scott Dobbie hoping for push from Andy Graham and John Donnan.

Windermere are also looking up for this one after a close fought battle in the reverse fixture at Dawes Meadow earlier in the season.

It all starts up front, with Mere looking to Jamie Hardman, Shaun Stafford and Tyrone Alderson keeping the front three jerseys warm.

The engine room has a new face in Tim Brereton second rowing alongside John Longworth they will look for support from a strong back row that contains Josh Dawson, Gregg Meschino and captain Jonny Benson.

The regular half-back pairing of Liam Mckinnon and Bertie Hodgson will be pulling the strings, with centres Moses Dawson and Brad Askam looking to break down the Hawcoat line for wing men Tom Atkinson and Gomes. Ben Gibson brings up the rear from full back with his on point defence and silky attacking prowess.
