Barrow AFC striker Dior Angus believes he is becoming more clinical in front of goal, with the Bluebirds having the opportunity to put more daylight between themselves and one of their promotion rivals this evening.

Bromley are heading up to Holker Street five points behind Ian Evatt’s side, having played two games more, and Angus will be looking to add to the ten goals he has already struck this season on what is his 26th birthday.

It was against the Ravens who he kick-started his season, as it was in the reverse fixture at Hayes Lane where he broke his duck after a 14-game barren run at the beginning of the campaign.

Angus said: “Once you start scoring a couple of goals, it becomes a habit and when from practicing in training you think ‘I’ve been in this position before.’

“It’s a case of doing what I’ve been doing for four days a week and then they go in, but it’s a confidence thing as well and that’s been helping me in front of goal.”

Following his two goals against FC United last week, Angus is now one of three players to have hit double figures for the season, along with joint-top scorers Scott Quigley and John Rooney.

Angus said: “When it comes to winning titles, you need about three players who are hitting 15-plus goals in the season.

“Obviously, Quigs and Roons have already done it and I’m well on the way, so it’s good to see us scoring goals because that’s where we struggled last year.”
