Facing Bromley holds special memories for Dior Angus, as it is against the Ravens when he scored his first goal for Barrow AFC last season and when he broke his duck for the current campaign.

Angus hadn't scored in 14 appearances by the time the Bluebirds travelled to Hayes Lane in October, but that drought ended when his mishit shot trickled in off the post to open the scoring.

It was significant for a couple of reasons; most importantly that it put AFC on their way to a 2-1 victory against the then National League leaders that demonstrated they are capable of outplaying the best teams in the division.

At a personal level, Angus has gone on to score regularly for Ian Evatt's side, with his two goals that rounded off the 7-0 hammering of FC United in the FA Trophy last Saturday taking him into double figures for the season.

Angus said: "I was never worried about the lack of goals because playing out wide was obviously a bit different for me, but when I went back up front I started to feel more at home and I knew the goals would come.

"I got the one against Bromley and the goals have ticked along nicely from there, and long may it continue.

"I would have liked to have got to double figures before the new year, but I've done it nice and early into January. We've got a lot of goals as a team and I still think there's more to come from our defenders from set-pieces. It's looking good."

Barrow have been going great guns for four months now, but they've been particularly rampant in the last couple of weeks, rattling in seven goals without reply against Ebbsfleet and FC United on consecutive Saturdays.

It's not realistic to expect them to hit those sort of heights again when they play Bromley in front of the BT Sport cameras at Holker Street, but confidence is nonetheless sky high amongst the squad.

Angus said: "Two 7-0s within a week is unheard of, but the gaffer had been saying that someone was due a spanking and we've given it twice in a week, which was nice.

"I was desperate to get on last week because I could see they were out on their feet, especially when they were down to ten men and I just thought 'if ever there's a game to come on, this is it.'"

Angus is well aware that Barrow have the chance to give the Ravens a mountain to climb in the promotion race if they beat them for a second time this season, as it would put eight points between them.

"If we win our games in hand, that's 14 points and that would be a huge gap," Angus said. "They would then have to win five more games than us and you look at us, with the way we are at the minute... I know anything can happen in football, but you do start thinking like that, even though it really is just one game at a time."
