Table toppers Cockermouth are this week’s opponents for struggling Windermere, who face the toughest of away trips in Cumbria Division One today.

Last week’s disappointing 45-5 home defeat against Whitehaven will hopefully give Mere the fillip they need to go into this one, which will be a tough day out for the Ambers.

Once again, there are only a few changes to the side, but there are no alterations up front with Jamie Hardman and Tyrone Alderson propping up the front row and Brad Askam moving to hooker.

Josh Dawson and John Longworth keep the second row engine room intact and will push on the front three with support from the back row of Giles Jones, Greg Meschino and captain Jonny Benson.

There’s no change for the steady half-back partners in Liam Mckinnon and Bertie Hodgson, who will be hoping to get early ball to centres Joe Turner and Damien Armstrong.

Bobby Davis and Tom Atkinson are on the wings with Moses Dawson moving to full back and looking to attack at every opportunity for the visitors.

Ben Gibson, Jordan McLatchie, Luke Todd and Dan Winstanley are warming the bench and will be on their toes looking for involvement against the team who go into the game leading the division on points difference, ahead of St Benedicts.
