TOUGH YEAR: Furness won just twice in 2019
American football team Furness Phantoms are looking to increase the size of their squad ahead of the 2020 season by holding rookie try outs next month.
The Ulverston-based club are inviting as many people as possible to give a new sport a go during sessions at Ulverston Leisure Centre on Saturday, January 11 and at Pulse Soccer, near Barrow Leisure Centre the following day, with both taking place from 12:30-2:30pm.
The Phantoms struggled for numbers at times last season, as they won just twice in eight games in Division Two North of the BAFA National League.
