There’s only one game this afternoon in the run up to Christmas in Cumbria Division One and it sees Carlisle Crusaders travel to Dawes Meadow to face Windermere.

Both sides will be looking for the points in what could be a tough game if Carlisle’s first team do not have a game.

Dan Harrison doesn’t envisage many changes to last week’s squad, which lost at Upper Eden, so as usual it all starts up front form Jamie Hardman leading the front line alongside Luke Todd and Tyrone Alderson.

John Longworth and Paul Mahler take up the task of dealing with the second row, with captain Jonny Benson leading the team from No.8 alongside his fellow back row forwards Adam Hague and Gregg Meschino.

Bertie Hodgson is at his regular position of fly-half and will be hoping the forwards give his half-back partner Liam Mckinnon good clean ball so he can release the back line with Joe Williams and Damien Armstrong outside him.

Wide men Moses Dawson and Liam Garnett have pace to burn and could help the Ambers out if given the ball to do so. Ben Gibson is at full back, pulling the strings in defence and attack and looking to keep parity.

A strong bench containing Giles Jones, Miles Fricker, Josh Dawson, Jordan McLatchie and Bobby Davis gives Windermere every chance of winning the points this week.
