Barrow ABC’s Jordan Dix made an impressive ring return with a stoppage victory over Shawaiz Hussain in a midweek bout in Blackburn.
The hard-hitting Dix caught Hussain in the first round and the Premier ABC fighter suffered a cut eye.
“It was a fantastic win for Jordan,” said Brook Street Head Coach Jeff Moses. “He has trimmed down from 90kg to 80kg and is in good shape.
“His opponent was a tough lad and was up for it, but Jordan stopped him in the first round with a cut eye and was a clear winner.”
Dix’s clubmate, talented teenage prospect Ethan Holt got back to winning ways in the ring after bouncing back from losing a short-notice bout the previous week to defeat A Antani of Blackburn Cobras.
Moses said of Holt’s performance at the show in Clitheroe: “Ethan boxed class. He worked non-stop and it was a great win.”
