Tony Mason maintained his 100 per cent record in the Barrow Individual Snooker League with a pair of 5-1 wins over Tommy Barbour in what was the tie of the competition so far.

Mason completely outplayed Barbour, who made a 48 break in the first game, but Mason, with breaks of 67 and 38, proved too strong.

Barbour hit the highest break of the season so far - a magnificent 127 - in the second game, but this was the only frame he won, as Mason again a class above.

The first match between John Tyerman and Jamie Thompson was drawn 3-3, with both players producing some good safety play, before Tyerman showed his class in the return, which he won 5-1 and made a 33 break.

Tom Millington produced some steady breaks to defeat Dale McLean 4-2 before McLean produced a magnificent comeback from 3-0 down to draw 3-3 in the return and keep his qualification hopes alive.

Danny Macdonald whitewashed newcomer Mike Smith (who has taken Luke Mason’s place due to work commitments) 6-0, with three breaks above 40, before winning a more competitive return 4-2, with Smith making a 39 break.

There was nothing to separate Moz Edmonds and Josh Francis, who drew both of their matches 3-3.

Matty Hill made a 47 break in his 4-3 win against Anthony Atkinson, while Martin McDonald picked up 5-1 and 4-2 victories against Alan Eaton.
