BIG Jim Braithwaite is back in winning form for Barrow ABC after a great comeback against a familiar opponent who had recently gotten the better of him

After losing to Saqib Farid just a couple of weeks ago, Braithwaite got his revenge at the Halliwell ABC man’s home show after a gutsy effort.

The Swarthmoor heavyweight had to recover from a shaky start that saw him take a standing count following a big shot from Farid before forcing his way back into the contest.

Looking more confident as the fight drew on, Braithwaite eventually took the bout on points, much to the delight of Brook Street head coach Jeff Moses.

“They went toe to toe from the off,” said Moses.

“Jim got an eight count after being rocked by a heavy shot but he came back non-stop in the last two rounds.

“The crowd were very appreciative of the bout and there was a great atmosphere.”
