Last year’s Barrow Friday League darts league champions British Legion A are still dominating at the oche and two points ahead of the Navy Club after trouncing British Legion 5-2.

Michael Yorke got the home team off to a flyer with scores of 134 and 100 in beating Jack Arnold 601-473. Dave Roberts pulled one back and was too strong for an out of sorts Tony Macmillan.

Dave Macmillan restored the lead against Colin Taylor, while Kevin Quinn's 95 double, double start was not enough to deny Mala McCoy another victory.

A more consistent Allan Edmondson got the better of Shaun McPoland 601-575. Dave ‘Showboat’ Simpson with then finished on double 1 and double 19 to pip Tony Norman to the post and Billy Bowes claimed the last point of the night winning 601-591 against Legion’s Captain Tony Woodward.

Second placed Navy Club were 4-3 winners in their away fixture against Vickerstown Cricket Club. Andy Charnley (140, 121) played well for the away side, while Dave Rafferty kept his good run of wins going and he was backed up with victories from Chris Kirkby (100) and Dave Wilkie.

Barrow Football Supporters Club just had the edge in winning 4-3 against Roose Cons, with wins for Steve Martin, Stuart Culbert, Dave Lynton (121) making his debut known with a 601-597 win against Peter Roberts, while Denis Plant claimed their other point.
