Josh Kay believes he is getting the hang of playing at left wing-back, where he has started every game of Barrow AFC's seven-game winning run.

Kay scored the decisive goal in the match that kick-started the Bluebirds' season - the 2-1 win at Aldershot Town - which was the first time he had started in that position, having begun the campaign as part of the front three.

The 22-year-old had previously played as a wing-back last season, but that was to cover for injuries, with this his first extended run in that position.

He admits he found it difficult to adapt at first, but it now starting to feel more at home, thanks to the good understanding he has built with Patrick Brough on the left-hand side.

Kay said: "I'm always open to play anywhere - I don't mind where I play because I just want to play football.

"It was tough to start with at wing-back, learning the defensive side of it, although obviously the attacking part wasn't too hard to get the hang of because that's just natural.

"Defensively, it was tough, but now I've played quite a lot of games there, I really enjoy it and I think I'm now where I need to be and I know what I need to do.

"I know my roles and responsibilities and I think I just need to keep on playing as well as I can, so i can stay in the side.

"Me and Broughy have a really good relationship and his calmness helps settle me down."
