Last year’s darts league winners in the Barrow Friday League, British Legion A Club had the best score of the latest round of fixtures with a 6-1 win over Roose Cons and go joint-top of the table.

There were wins from Mike Yorke, Dave Macmillan (140) ,Tony Macmillan (116), Mala McCoy (125), Dave Simpson (100, 92) and Bill Burns (134). Rob Chissim saved grace with a 601 599 win over Steve Hetherington.

It was a good night at the oche for the other co-leaders Navy Club as they recorded a 5-2 home win over the British Legion thanks to wins from Ian Goodwin (137), captain Ian Large (140), Brian Linklater and Dave Wilkie, and Dave Rafferty (101, 100) scores.

Vickerstown Cricket Club took four points away from home against the Barrow Football Supporters Club with wins from Lee Jefferson, Jimmy Allen, David Holmes and Peter Scott finishing on a 67 knock up.

The Soccer Bar‘s points came from Harry Bateman (134, 100), Steve Martin and Stuart Culbert with the highest knock up so far of 98. Stuart Pearson (121, 100) was unlucky in defeat.

Welch don leaders British Legion A kept top spot after taking all four wins against Roose Cons with 2-1 wins for Steve Hetherington/Paul Fieldhouse over Peter Roberts/Mike Irving, and Bill Bowes/ Alan Reid over Bob Taylor/John Rawlinson. Dave Macmillan/Mala McCoy and Dave Leech/Walter Bowes took their games with a 2-0 result.
