After last week’s hard-fought victory away at Windermere, Hawcoat Park find themselves back on home turf tomorrow as they face Kirby Stephen outfit Upper Eden in Cumbria Division One.

Park will need to be on top form as this is sure to be a tough game for the Maroon and Whites, who have won their first four games of the season, but Upper Eden are just just points and one place behind them.

Fingers are crossed that Brad Marwood can continue his role at fly-half, after his impressive debut at Windermere, with Jason Milby stepping into the centres alongside skipper Chris Burns.

George Smith returns, so there could be a battle for the full back shirt with Benji Platt.

The forwards will be unchanged in the main, but with no Alfie White, Brad Morrow is likely to join the back row, while Hawcoat hope Scott Dobbie will be fine after a late fitness test.

Hawcoat Park A are looking to get their first win of the season in what is proving to be a tough league. They travel to Tarleton 3rd XV this week with captain Peter Jennens looking for the same commitment as last week’s defeat against Rossendale 3rd XV.

Luke Harrison returns to the side and will look for plenty of ball in hand to open up defences alongside Chris Milby.

Jack Fawcett continues to pull on a Hawcoat jersey in support of the team, along with Robert Shephard and props Mike Gibson and Ryan Brown.

Mikee Light continues his development into a top player along with new international player Andrew Graham, who joins the club this week.

Furness are rebuilding after last week’s heavy loss at Millom, but will be keen to put the defeat behind them and where better to start than at home against bottom side Creighton.

It is hoped that the North Cumbrian side will put a side together to travel to what will no doubt be a much better Furness side at home.

Corne Els skippers the side, with Will Mallinson alongside taking the team forward.

Old heads Paul Dean and Craig McKinnon may be pulling jerseys on with Chris Dalton and Ben Hughes also hopeful of being available on the day.

It’s all hands to the pump, but Furness are more than capable of winning this one, which would bring the team a bit more confidence in the future.
