THE majority of games in this weekend’s round of Barrow & District Junior Football League fixtures were wiped out by the weather - but there were goals galore in the matches that survived the wet conditions.

The highest-scoring showdown came in the under 14 championship as Millom Juniors Black scored 14 goals away at Barrow Island u14s.

Oliver Heron scored twice for Barrow.

Elsewhere in the division Askam United edged a nine-goal thriller against Hawcoat Park u14s Hawks.

Tyler Chester and Jack Ponter were among the scorers for Askam, who won 5-4.

Bradley Warne opened the scoring for Walney Island u13s in the first minute but Dalton United u13s equalised through Alex Hustings shortly after to earn a 1-1 draw.

The only fixture to survive the u14 premiership saw Furness Cavaliers u14s win 2-0 away at Hawcoat Park u14 Dynamos.

Raddslaw Bernier and Robert Williams were on the scoresheet.
