Navy Club led the way in the Barrow Friday League darts table after a successful 6-1 win over visitors Vickerstown Cricket Club.

Ian Goodwin led the way with a 601-545 win over Gareth Willis (130) backed up by Dave Rafferty (100), Brian Linklater (92), Chris Kirkby (100) getting the better of the Cricketer’s captain Bob Crosthwaite (100).

Josh Francis 100 pinched the last game 601-597 against Andy Charnley, who had two tons in his game.

Last year’s champions British Legion A set off well with a 5-2 win against their home side, British Legion Club. Captain Shaun McPoland led the way with four scores 100 and above in beating Allan Edmondson (95), backed up with wins for Mike Yorke (100) against Mike Smith (100, 125). Steve Hetherington (100), Billy Burns (110) and Mala McCoy (92) were their other winners.

Barrow Football Supporters Club just got the better of Roose Cons with a 4-3 away win thanks to good wins for Harry Bateman (140, 100) and captain Mike Edwards (100, 121, 125). Stuart Pearson played twice, having a ton score in his first win and 140 in the second.

Vickerstown CC lead the welch don table after a 6-2 win at the Navy Club, all the games going to a 2-0 result. The winners were the pairings of Bryan Jones/Keith Wilson, Gareth Willis/David Holmes and Jimmy Allen/Alan Edwards. Dave Simpson and Dave Wilkie the home winners.
