American football team Furness Phantoms are looking for new sponsors ahead of the 2020 season, as they look to bounce back from a difficult campaign.
The Phantoms were established in 2011 as the Walney Terriers before moving to Ulverston four years later and they now play at Glaxo Sports Club, having their strongest season in 2018 when they reached the BAFA Play-offs for the first time.
However, they only won two games during 2019 in Division Two North of the BAFA National League, although they did finish on a winning note against Knottingley Raiders.
They recently ran a rookie try-out session in a bid to attract new players, as the only American football team in south Cumbria sometimes struggled for numbers.
They still have further rookie days planned for future dates, with new head coach Joe Allington looking to build up his squad for next year.
They do, however, require extra sponsorship to keep the team running, with those who are willing to contribute likely to get top billing whenever the club advertises itself on or off the pitch.
Player sponsorship will cost £50, while £250 will earn regular business recognition on the club's social media pages.
For £750, businesses will receive a signed Phantoms shirt for them to display and a 6x4ft sponsors poster will be made to display at home games.
