The one-mile fun run also saw one junior BCR take part and Harriet Rooke, one of the youngster competitors at just three-and-a-half years old, got round with her mum, team and club captain Rebecca, in 14:26. Also taking place recently was the Turner Landscape fell race from Seathwaite in the Duddon Valley.

The 11-mile event visits the higher fells in the area, including Greyfriar. The club turned out in force for it, as ten members started, and Hartley was first back again in 1:41:09, followed by Tim Ripper at 1:45:03 and Gavin Lloyd with his 2:05:54 clocking.
