A late Owen Doughty strike kept Damned’s title hopes alive as they defeated Egg Fried Reus 12-11 in a Pulse Soccer Monday Night Championship Division thriller.

It looked bleak for Keith Sharp’s men, throwing a three-goal lead away in the last five minutes to head into the final minute level, and Egg Fried Reus pushing for a winner with momentum on their side.

But Doughty’s left footer into the bottom right hand corner, his second of the game, secured a priceless victory.

Curtis McAloone (6), Luke McCracken (2) and Ben Greer (2) were also on the scoresheet for Damned, with Jack Smith (4), Joe Dunford (3), Callum Millington (3) and Reuben Thornley notching for Egg Fried Reus.

Vote Corbyn ensured they stay in the mix, Ben Watson (7), Austin Meadows (5), Lewis Jones, Tom Hilton and Lachlan Garnett giving them a 15-9 win over Crapoli. Owen Boothroyd (4), Aaron Rogan (2), Jake McGill (2) and Daniel Tickle replied for Crapoli.

Scott McDonald (4), Iaian McDonald, Andy Hainey and Jason Jackson were enough for Snow White in a hard-fought 7-5 victory over Furness Generals.

Elsewhere, seven goals each from Mike Melia and Alex Hall along with four from Luke Shaw for Unbelievable Jeff downed Arty Dossers.

A seven-goal-haul from Paul Wren couldn’t stop Furness Park, who triumphed 13-11 with Josh Jones on target nine times.
