Haverigg marked their 125th anniversary celebrations with a eight-wicket thrashing of Vickerstown in Division One of the Cumbria Cricket League last Saturday.

Jack Litherland (11) was the only Vickerstown batsman to reach double figures, as they were skittled for 71, with Liam Ford taking 4-26 for Haverigg and Tomas Hawdon chipping in with 3-20.

It then took the hosts just 9.1 overs to reach their target as captain Drew Postlethwaite hammered 53 off just 34 balls, including 11 fours.

Captain Elliot Maxfield (70) and Ben Sharp (55) held leaders Furness 2nd XI's innings together against Hawcoat Park as the hosts were bowled out for 169 with Park's Ross Parke taking 4-23.

Despite the efforts of James Grimshaw (48) and Callum Lucas (38), Hawcoat couldn't reach their target as Jake Woods and Harris Woods took three wickets each to bowl the visitors out for 141 in reply, 28 runs short.

Milind Metha made a brilliant 109 not out as part of Ulverston's 204-8 against Seascale, for whom Reece Robinson took 4-35.

The hosts looked to be cruising as Paul Storey's five-wicket haul helped reduce Seascale to 115-9, but the final wicket pairing of Robinson (45n/o) and Jay Connor (23) added 63 together before the latter was finally dismissed to leave the visitors 26 runs short.
