The Championship Division took another major twist in the Pulse Monday League as Benteke Fried Chicken reignited their title challenge with a massive 9-5 victory previous league leaders Damned United.

Scott Paisley (4), Joe Kelly (3) and Jordan Dutson (2) strikes ensured they remained in the hunt in a game in which anything other than a win would have all but ended their hopes.

Four efforts from the division’s top scorer, Curtis McAloone, weren’t enough for a depleted Damned outfit who suffered just their third defeat of the campaign and their night got worse as they were knocked off top spot in the later game by BTD.

Brad Edwards (5), Mike Edwards (3), Jack Duignan (2) and Ryan Gosney (2) saw them come through a feisty encounter against Foregone Conclusion 12-6. Rikki Gallagher (4), Max Moore and Owen Woodburn replied for Foregone, but BTD are now ahead of Damned on goal difference with a game in hand.

Elsewhere, 12 Derry Greaves strikes had SOV on the brink of a shock playing a man down the entire game, but Egg Fried Reus’ extra fitness in the second half proved decisive in a 17-13 win.

In the Premier Division, Snow White leapt to the top of the standings after goals from Scott McDonald (9), Iaian McDonald (6), Andy Hainey (6) and Jack Gardner (4) easing them to a 25-1 defeat of Haz Beens.

Vibrant forfeited against Mid-Table meaning they are now a point adrift, but they have played a game less.

Furness Generals and Unbelievable Jeff played out a thriller in the other game of the night.

Generals prevailed 11-9 thanks to Robbie McMurdo (4), Ethan Cole (3), Joe Fidler (2) and Ste Harkin (2). Sam Jefferson (3), Ryan Muncaster (3), Simon Rennie (2) and Jake Reynolds were on the scoresheet for Jeff.
