Winger Tee Ritson is hoping he can continue his recent try-scoring form as Barrow Raiders enter the final stretch of their season, where every game is a must-win.

Ritson has scored four tries in his last three games - with him having a couple more wrongly chalked off in that time - but unfortunately for the Raiders, his exploits couldn't save them from defeats against Dewsbury, Leigh and Swinton.

As a result, they find themselves three points adrift of safety as they go into their free weekend, but Ritson is confident Barrow's backline, which he feels is more balanced than earlier in the season, can still earn results.

He said: "Im getting some good ball and I'm getting some good chances.

"Star [Amean] has been playing really well at centre and I've got him to thank for that as well, but as long as I can consistently keep scoring, hopefully we as a team can improve those little one per centers and put ourselves in a good place.

"I think we've been scoring more tries out wide in the last two months and we're not playing too bad, but it's just little errors that are letting us down."

Barrow's break from action actually comes at a good time, as they were starting to run short of numbers again due to the injuries they've been suffering of late.

It's not looking good for Lewis Charnock, who has a fractured jaw, but Raiders will be hoping the likes of Amean, Danny Morrow, Dan Toal, Jarrad Stack and Jamie Dallimore will have recovered by the time York City Knights come to Craven Park next Sunday.

Ritson said: "You play week in, week out and at this level it's really intense, it starts wearing on your body and stuff, so the weekend off will do everybody some good.

"It will give us a chance to rest up and get a few injured players recovered and back playing, hopefully.

"We were really poor against York away and we're making it a sort of personal battle to put that right."
