Barrovian boxers Ross Cooksey and Mike McGoldrick will both be heading back to Bolton in September after the date for their respective next bouts was confirmed.

Neither of the duo's opponents have been named yet for what is a quick return to the ring for both in MTK Global's next show at the University of Bolton Stadium, where Cooksey and McGoldrick made their comebacks earlier in the month.

Friday, September 13 is when they'll come back to the scene of their triumphs from three weeks ago when the two fighters both won on points to extend their unbeaten professional records.

Featherweight Cooksey was very impressive in out-boxing Kent's Ricky Leach in what was his first fight for 11 months, and his first under new trainer Johnney Roye, as he made it seven straight wins in the pro ranks.

Earlier in the night, light heavyweight McGoldrick looked comfortable and appeared to have plenty left in the tank as he defeated Cambridge's Gianni Antoh to make it four wins out of four for him in what was his first bout in eight months.

Both of those fights took place across four rounds and Cooksey and McGoldrick stated in the aftermath their hopes that their next match would be a longer one.

If either fighter gets their wish and boxes for six, or even possibly eight, rounds, it would give them a better chance of landing more high-profile bouts in the future.
