Barrow Raiders have added to their front row options with the signing of prop Paul Seguier, who has joined on loan from Catalans Dragons until the end of the season.

Head coach Paul Crarey was lacking in options in that area of the field after Josh Johnson's departure to Salford Red Devils last and Seguier's arrival is timely with Raiders running out of time to save themselves from relegation.

The 21-year-old Frenchman has made eight appearances for the Dragons and is rated as a great prospect by their head coach Steve McNamara.

He has previous experience of playing in the Betfred Championship, having spent time on loan at Toulouse last season.

Most recently, Seguier has helpeds Catalans' feeder team, Saint-Esteve, win the Elite One Championship as they defeated Carcassonne in the Grand Final.

Seguier will land in the country today and will go straight into contention for Barrow's away game at Swinton Lions on Sunday.

He will have to hit the ground running quickly, as Raiders are likely to need three, or possibly even four, wins from their remaining six matches if they are to avoid the drop.
