An unbeaten half-century from Bevan Small condemned Barrow to another loss in the Northern Premier League, as they were defeated by six wickets at Netherfield last Saturday.

After Barrow won the toss and chose to bat, Small bowled Toby Mowat (5) early in their innings, although wicketkeeper Justin Pringle held things together with 49.

However, the visitors were always struggling in Kendal once they lost Dineth Thimodya and captain Glenn Kermode in quick succession and they were bowled out for just 157, despite a defiant 45 from Daryl Wearing.

Joel Blain took 4-40 for Netherfield, while Small chipped in with 3-28 to put the hosts in a strong position.

Their captain Ben Barrow got them off to a great start with 57 from 62 balls and there were good contributions of 32 from Lewis Edge and 61 not out from Small as Netherfield raced to victory with 14 overs to spare.
