In the Dennis Mowers-sponsored Federation of Crown Green Bowls fourth division, the Furness Crown Green Association Senior bowling team, play their second match of the 2019 season on Sunday.

Furness lost their opening match 18-14 to Bradford, while South Lakes lost their first game by the same score to Harrogate ABA.

With the King Alfred Singles competition once again being staged on the fourth Sunday of the month, Furness have a much-depleted squad, but they’re giving talented young players their opportunity to shine, with 16-year-old Ryan Smith and 17-year-old Callum Sharples playing on their home green in the home leg at Walney Park.
