Barrow jockey Charlotte Jones received The Mail's sports performance of the month award for May after her successful month on the saddle.
Jones hadn't ridden a winner for over a year before coming in first on Golden Town in the Handicap Hurdle at Sedgefield on Golden Town, who had pre-race odds of 66/1, on May 13.
The 24-year-old then backed that victory up with another at Kelso two days later on Lough Kent, taking her number of career winners up to seven.
It was also the fourth time she had ridden the ten-year-old gelding to victory.
Jones' most recent ride came last Saturday when she came in third at the Class 4 Handicap Hurdle on the James Moffatt-trained Think Ahead at Hexham.
