The Lower Holker Open Doubles, sponsored by Holker Estates and blessed with good weather, was won by Sue Waring (Lower Holker) and Norman McCloud (Glaxo).
The duo beat Kris Ollgivie (Lower Holker) and Ryan Smith (Walney Park) in the final.
Sue and Norman took the initiative and went into an early 10- 0 lead.
Undaunted, Kris and Ryan pulled it back to 19-18 before Sue and Norman ran out worthy winners
In the semi final the winners had a convincing 21-2 win over father and son pairing Andy and Trevor Procter (Victoria) and the runners up beat Victoria’s Alan Metcalf and Yvonne Gregory (21-8)
