The Barrow & District League swings back into tonight with table-topping Dalton travelling across the Duddon Estuary to play Millom A.

Dalton should keep pole position after this match, but Millom will be no pushover as they always give a good account of themselves at home.

Ulverston A have a home game against bottom side Barrow Island A, but this is a game that could go either way.

Ulverston have several players ready to return, along with lads who are just looking for a game of rugby, so there’s a chance the Dragley Beck outfit have turned the corner in putting numbers out on the field.

For their part, Barrow Island will be hoping they have lads available coming off their shifts at work along with the regular lads.

An Island win would move them off the bottom of the table, while an Ulverston win would put them on level points with Millom, should should the Woolybacks fail to beat Dalton.

Walney Central A have a walkover in this round of fixtures, as Askam A are struggling to raise a side.

Meanwhile the draw has been made for the Harry Warman Cup, with Dalton travelling to Barrow Island and Askam hosting Ulverston in the first round.

Walney and Millom both have a bye for this stage of the competition.
