Stuart Cooper's quickfire 38 helped Ulverston to a thrilling DLS-adjusted nine-wicket victory against Vickerstown in Division One of the Cumbria Cricket League at Ulverston Sports Club.

Sam Dixon starred for Vickerstown by thrashing 100 off only 78 balls, including 20 fours, in what was an improved batting display from the visitors, even though they were bowled out for 193 after 39.4 overs.

Gareth Yates, Cooper and Paul Storey all took three wickets for Ulverston, who were given a revised target of 62 off ten overs after a rain delay, which they rushed past with ten deliveries to spare.

Furness 2nd XI moved six points clear at the top of the table after thrashing Workington 2nd XI by ten wickets, with Jake Woods' 4-30 proving vital in bowling out the visitors for just 107 in the 21st over.

Openers Tom Heywood and Ryan Griffiths were then unbeaten on 53 and 46, respectively, as Furness raced to their target with an unbroken 108-run stand in just 12.2 overs.

The weather frustrated promotion favourites Haverigg, who posted a huge 300-6 (including 122 off 117 balls from Lahiru Jayakody) against against Hawcoat Park, who never had the chance to begin their reply.

Lindal Moor 2nd XI were on the wrong end of a thriller against Seascale, who prevailed by four wickets.

Jos Edwards blasted 112 in Lindal's 302 all out (Jaco Lombard taking 5-32) before Seascale reached their revised target of 270 off 40 overs thanks to a sensational 134 from Robin Sparshott, having been earlier reduced to 15-3.

Kirkby's match at Cockermouth 2nd XI was washed out after they had bowled the hosts out for 129.
