Vickerstown under-14s completed a phenomenal season by sealing a quadruple of trophies last week.
Dave Shurgold’s side already had the Barrow & District Junior League title and the Furness District FA Cup in the bag before meeting Furness Cavaliers under-13s in the BDJFL Knockout Cup final last Sunday
They were too strong for their opponents on the day, as they won 7-1 and they returned to Holker Street for the Ulverston Hospital Cup final against Furness Rovers two days later.
Again, it proved to be no contest, as Vickerstown stormed to a 6-0 victory that completed their clean sweep of trophies at that age group.
The under-16 final on the same evening proved to be a much tighter affair, with Holker Old Boys under-15 Greens triumphing 3-1 on penalties against Hawcoat Park after a memorable 4-4 draw.
That gave Holker a measure of revenge after they had been beaten 2-0 by Hawcoat in the BDJFL Knockout Cup final last Sunday.
The other BDJFL finals that took place at the home of Barrow AFC saw Furness Cavaliers under-12s edge past Millom Juniors 4-3, while Hawcoat Park Hawks defeated Barrow Island Reds 6-0 in the under-13 showpiece.
In addition to the cup finals, there were also plenty of league fixtures still taking place, with Cavs under-12s moving closer to a second trophy of the season as the leaders drew 3-3 against Hawcoat Park.
The biggest winners where Hawcoat Park under-13 Dynamos, who defeated Millom Juniors 15-0 in the under-14 division.
