While the motocross lads were doing their thing at Haverigg, Barrow’s Danny Shaw was contesting the Ducati TriOptions Cup series that run alongside the British Super Bike Championships on the Silverstone Circuit.
A good solid performance saw Danny cross the line in 10th place to grab those all important points.
Sadly, Graham Wilcock’s team did not have the same luck in the BSB rounds. An unexpected gearbox problem arose during practice, although an overnight engine change by Mike Bibby and his crew saw their rider Michael Evans on the line the following morning.
Alas, as often happens in motorsport, other technical issues arose, leaving Mike without a ride.
In two weeks time both teams are at Oulton Park.
Across in mid-Wales, Askam Classic racer Geoff Hadwin contested the Tonfanau Circuit’s 250cc Classic championship. Despite having to race with larger machines, he won his class and now leads the series.
