Matthew and Rebecca Rigg will be starring on the national stage on April 27
SIBLINGS Rebecca and Matthew Rigg will both be vying for national table tennis honours on Aprl 27 – albeit over 60 miles apart.
Rebecca, 14, won the Cumbria Schools under-15 individual tournament in February and will now be representing the county at the national finals in Wolverhampton.
On the same day, elder brother Matthew, 16, will be in action in Nottingham in the Association of Colleges National Championship after finishing runner-up in the North-West area tournament last November.
Away from school, both play in the Barrow Table Tennis league for Furness Cricket Club Juniors.
They thanked coach John Harrison for his time and commitment to the club, and their sponsor Cumbria Autos.
