DAWES Meadow is the battleground tomorrow as Furness head to Windermere with South Cumbria bragging rights at stake.

Both team are sitting mid-table in Cumbria Two with not a lot to play for, but that will not stop them wanting to take the spoils.

Mere have been unchanged for a number of weeks, but this week sees a couple of forced changes.

Jamie Hardman, Dan Harrison and Luke Todd hold things up in a tight front three with Ollie Askew and Joe Longthorn in the engine room.

Skipper Johnny Benson leads from number eight with flankers Greg Meschino and Adam Hague never far from the action. Liam McKinnon and Bertie Hodgson stay in the halves.

Bobby Davis and Tom Atkinson are the wide men, with Moses Dawson moving back inside to the centres to join Josh Williams. Daelon Hernandez brings up the rear from full back and the Ambers have a strong bench too.

Visitors Furness will be more than up for this one, with Chris Dalton, Ben Hughes and Cameron Mclure the likely front three, although Paul Dean's inclusion in the squad may see a slight shuffle.

Tadhg Butler is sure to get a great welcome back at Windermere, who he originally left Furness for earlier in the season.

The team is led by skipper Corne Els, who is likely to be in the back row alongside Dillan Taputu and Andy Brannon with Dan Scott in with a shout of one of the front eight shirts.

Evergreen Craig McKinnon takes on the scrum-half role, with Will Mallinson the man outside him hoping to get good ball to his back line.

There, Charlie Martin is back in a Furness shirt after a spell abroad, and Russ Birch, Sam Wicks, Matt Viner and Jordan Ashton are all vying for a place in the starting XV as well.

But with final selection to come and a few more people to confirm their availability, Furness will wait until tomorrow before naming their team for the derby clash.
