FURNESS Raiders stand on the verge of a place in the Association of Colleges National Cup final for the second year in a row when they take on Wyke Colleges in the last four this afternoon at Craven Park (kick-off 2pm).

David Cairns' under-19s side booked their place in the semi-finals with a resounding 92-6 win at home to Huddersfield New College exactly one month ago and will be in a confident mood.

However, Hull-based side Wyke have proven capable of springing a surprise, knocking out Furness' College Rugby League Premier Division rivals Salford Red Devils Rising Stars at home in the last round.

They are also currently top of Yorkshire League Division Two with an unbeaten record and a plus-146 points difference, so the Raiders will have to be on their guard.

The other semi-final between Wigan Warriors Foundation College and Huddersfield Giants Foundation College takes place at the same time too.

The venue and date of the final will be confirmed following the semis, with Furness having hosted last year's decider.

n BARROW Raiders are now taking bookings for the supporters coach travelling to the game away to Leigh Centurions on Sunday, April 7.

The coach leaves the Promenade on Walney at 10am and the cost is £15 per season. Contact the Scott Street Office to book a place on 01229 824454.
