ULVERSTON scored an impressive away victory in North West Men's League Division One as they triumphed 36-12 away to Haresfinch.

James Porter, Steve O'Connor, Marc Storey, Mark Wilkinson and Ryan John all ran in tries for the visitors, with Connor Saunders adding six goals as well.

Hindpool Tigers picked up their first win of the season in Division Two, triumphing 48-24 at home to Westhoughton Lions.

Nathan Sneesby and Connor McDermott led the way for the Tigers, running in two tries apiece.

The other tries came from Josh Bayliss,Joe Bibby, Matty Archer and Connor Goodings – the latter being in superb form with the boot and landing eight conversions.

In Division Three, Roose Pioneers were on the wrong end of a 44-20 scoreline away to early league leaders Woolston Rovers A.

Saul Docherty, James Armistead, Kris Holmes and Jack Torkington were the players to get over the try-line for Roose and Glen Phillips kicked two conversions.

Walney Central came out second-best in the Premier Division, losing 50-10 away to Widnes West Bank. Declan Gavin crossed for a brace of tries for the away side and added one conversion.

Cents now turn their attention to trying to secure a place in the BARLA National Cup semi-finals when they host Thatto Heath Crusaders this Saturday.
