FIVE-a-side outfit Tea and Busquets are just two steps away from the dream scenario of lifting a trophy at Wembley after they came through the first round of the FA People’s Cup at Pulse.

It was the first time the national five-a-side competition had been held in Barrow, with the Ulverston outfit emerging victorious to book their place at the regional semi-final in Manchester on Sunday, March 24.

They cruised through the group stage, with an impressive 7-3 victory over Stanton followed by a 2-0 defeat of Team Bring It seeing them top the group and setting up a clash with current Pulse Monday League champions Furness Generals, who they defeated 4-0.

Their opponents in the final were Topshine, who had racked up some impressive results in the group stage and were unfortunate not to take the lead in the final when Chris Wraighte's shot hit the crossbar.

Then, at the other end, Josh Bates got the crucial goal which proved enough to secure a 1-0 win for Busquets and send them through to the next stage.

Among the opponents they could meet in Manchester are Barrow squad Instant Noodles, who came through the Blackpool qualifier and are aiming to better finishing fifth overall in 2017.

The winners from the regional semis go through to the final at Birmingham, with the champions being presented with the trophy at half time of this year's FA Cup final
