HARBOUR sit top of the Barrow & District Mixed Darts League after beating Vic Tavern 6-3.

On form for the Harbour were Carol McCormack (2x100), Dave Eccles (115), Darren Clarke (100), Lol Crease (100), Tracy Clarke (100) and Ritchie Hall (125). Vic Tavern’s best scores came from Tara Bird (100) and Dave Shaw (121, 100).

The Newton registered their first win, edging out Masons 5-4. Top-scoring for the Newton were Gemma Sibbett (140), Gary Bennett (123, 100), Glen Higgins (100) and Joe Doak (114). For the Masons, Tracy Taylor hit a 171, and Sharon Vincent (166) and Roy Chambers were the other top-scorers.

In the all-Furness CC clash, the B side came out on top 5-4. On form for Furness B were Rachel Caine (100), Marc Ayers (100), Denis Yeates (2x100), Margaret Caine (100) and Steve Caine Snr (100) and, despite losing, Steve Caine Jnr hit scores of 125 and 2x100.

Luke Shaw (2x100) and Gary Thompson (2x100) were the high-scorers for the Furness top side.

In Division One, the Dirty Duck hold a four-point lead after beating Kill One A 7-2.

Marie Smythe (140), Mick Walters (140, 100) and Mike Wright (180 in a 22-dart game) stood out for the Duck, while Kill One A had only Brian Charlton (100) hitting a three-figure score.

Red River look like getting back to form after a 6-3 win over the Central, with A. Lomas (102), Ruth Rhodes (133) and C. Wolstenholme (101, 100) all playing well.

Central’s best were Stan Raven (102), K. Moscrop (102) and Darren Singleton, who hit 140 and 2x100 in 24-dart game.

In Division Two, Last Orders remain unbeaten and moved top after beating the Devonshire 6-3, thanks in part to Brian Birkett (100) and P. Thompson (100).

The Dev’s best, Kev Jones scored 135, 100 and 135 in the doubles match with Linda Brown, and Cam Callagher 101 completed the scoring.

Costellos slipped to second despite overcoming the Clarence 6-3. On form for Costellos were Steve Bottomley (2x100), Stuart Hunt (100) and Mark Couchman (100).

Golden Ball came out on top 5-4 against the Albion. Les Quayle (140) top-scored for the Dalton side, and Albion’s best were Darren Needham (100) and Dave Jefferson (100).
