THERE is an intriguing derby clash in West Lancashire League Division One tomorrow as Ulverston Rangers welcome Hawcoat Park.

Third-placed Hawcoat are enjoying a fine season in the division and, depending on results elsewhere, could go top of the table if they come away from Glaxo Sports Club with a win.

Trevor Houston’s side will be more than aware Ulverston have been progressing steadily since Gary Fawcett took over as manager in the summer and the home side will be eager to narrow the gap between them and the top six.

Askam United have been enjoying mini-revival in recent weeks too and Neil Park’s men will undoubtedly be buoyed by last Saturday’s Furness Senior Cup win over Millom heading into the home game with Lytham Town.

Crooklands Casuals will aim to build on their return to winning ways when they host CMB.

In Division Two, Walney Island hosts Kendal United, while Dalton United, Furness Rovers and Furness Cavaliers all are on the road to Croston Sports, Mill Hill St Peters and Galgate respectively.

Vickerstown will attempt to get their Richardson Cup first-round tie at home to Poulton played after it was postponed last week, while Millom host Elton Vale in the Lancashire Amateur Cup last 16.

At the top of the Furness Premier League Premier Division, Kirkby United host Vickerstown reserves and Bootle travel to Haverigg United.
