RITCHIE Hall played a starring role for Harbour as they edged out Premier Division leaders Castle 5-4 in the latest round of Barrow Mixed Darts League matches.

Visitors Harbour made a great start to the match, with Tracy Clarke (140) and Dave Eccles (141,140) with a 19-dart game winning the first two matches.

Carol McCormack (3x100) made it 3-0, but Castle rattled off the next four games to go ahead thanks in part to a 20-dart game from James Kempster (141, 139), and wins for Chris Irvine (100) and Karen Kirby (100).

Hall (100) got Harbour back on level terms though and then combined with Mary Horner to take victory in the doubles game, landing a 180 in the process.

Furness CC had a 6-3 win over the Vic Tavern. Luke Shaw was the Cricketers’ star man with 140 and 100 in his singles match, plus 100 with Chelsea Thompson in the doubles.

They were backed up by Gary Thompson (100), Tia Hill (100) and Mike Fletcher (122), while Vic Tavern’s replies came from Chris Geering (140), Yvonne Clarke (133), Dave Shaw (2x100), and Chris Geering with Barbara Greenwood (109, 100) in the doubles.

Furness CC B came out winners in a tight game with the Newton. Steve Caine (140, 100), Tony Woolveridge (100), Denis Yeates (100) and Margaret Caine (125) top-scoring for the B side, and Newton’s best were Gary Bennett (100) and Glen Higgins (100).

Dirty Duck sit top of Division One after an 8-1 win over Brewery. Mark Wright (100), Mike Wright (100) and Mick Walters (135), 100 were the best for the Duck, and Brewery’s top scorers were Katie Hutchins (112) and Phoenix Tranter (160).

Red River returned to form with a 7-2 win over Raiders Bar as Kerry Love (133), Ruth Rhodes (134 ) and Martin Rhodes (140, 135 and 116) led the way. Raiders Bar’s best were Paul Dalton (2x100), Nicola Sanderson (112) and Louise Scarr (135, 100).

Labour Club beat Kill One A 6-2, with Ian Snaith (100), M. Porrie (103) and Lucy Johnson (135) their best. Sharron Charlton (127, 100) and Brian Charlton (100) were Kill One’s best.

In Division Two, Last Orders beat Albion 7-2, Devonshire were 6-4 winners over Costellos and leaders Duddon S&SC lost 5-4 to Golden Ball.
