WHILE the Furness Senior Cup takes priority for many of the area’s teams tomorrow, there is still plenty of action in the Furness Premier League.

The day’s three Premier Division matches feature a top-versus-bottom clash as leaders Kirkby United take on Dalton United reserves.

Dalton’s second string will be buoyed by picking up only their second win of the season away to Walney Island reserves last Saturday, while Kirkby will be aiming to extend their four-point advantage at the top of the division.

Ever-improving Bootle lead the chasing pack and will attempt to keep within touching distance of the table-toppers. However, they face a difficult trip to Newby Terrace to face sixth-placed Barrow Celtic.

Mid-table Haverigg United have games in hand on nearly all of the teams above them and will be seeking to narrow the gap when they travel to Walney.

In Division One, British Legion are aiming to take advantage of leaders Barrow Wanderers being in Senior Cup action when they travel to bottom side Crooklands Casuals reserves.

A win would see Legion go top, while Bridge United would draw level on points with Wanderers if they can overcome Hawcoat Park A.

In Division Two, Ulverston Rangers reserves, Kirkby reserves and Wanderers reserves all seek to take advantage of leaders Holker Old Boys A not playing.
