HOLKER Old Boys face the second of four consecutive away games in North West Counties League First Division North tomorrow when they travel to high-flying AFC Liverpool.

Holker kicked that run off with a 2-2 draw away to AFC Blackpool on Tuesday evening, a match which saw the visitors two goals up inside the first quarter of an hour.

Teenage forward Tyler Wood put Holker in front with just seven minutes on the clock and player-manager Kevin Watkin doubled the lead five minutes later.

However, Blackpool were back in the match when they got on the scoresheet 15 minutes in and an equaliser on the hour proved enough to ensure the sides had to settle for a share of the spoils.

The result puts Holker level with Daisy Hill on nine points and they now head to the division’s fourth-placed side.

Last Saturday’s Furness Premier League fixture list was disrupted by heavy rain, but that should not be an issue tomorrow.

Premier Divison leaders Croftlands Park – top on goal difference – will aim to put daylight between themselves and the chasing pack when they host Vickerstown reserves.

Second-placed Kirkby United host Walney Island reserves, but Bootle – one point behind the top two in third – are without a game.

Defending champions Hawcoat Park reserves aim to keep up the pressure when they head to Britannia.
